| Good to hear it's fixed now. Internet Explorer Protected Mode uses one set of settings, non-Protected Mode uses another set. When you run IE as administrator, protected mode is off. Protected mode is also off when you run under Sandboxie. |

Bingo! That did in fact work. It now disables the prompt in the sandbox. I'm curious, what about running IE in the sandbox forces it to pull the settings from the "Run As Administrator" option as opposed to when I have it set outside?
Thanks for the help! |

| But did you try it? Internet Explorer has two sets of settings, and when you run it under Sandboxie, it uses the same set of settings that is used when you run it outside the sandbox as an administrator. I am suggesting that you run IE as admin so that you can get to the checkbox in that other set of settings. |

Unfortunately, this isn't something I can load on demand. When I first installed Quicktime I wasn't not running the Sandbox at the time. The prompt is an automatic thing and at the time I did check "Do Not Prompt," which is why it does not appear outside the Sandbox anymore. For some reason, the Sandbox doesn't communicate with that one aspect.
There is an add-on called "Quicktime Check Class." I thought disabling it would work but it just makes Quicktime not work at all. So back to the drawing board. |

| Yes, that might help. Try this please, run your IE outside the sandbox as administrator, make this MIME Type window appear and click the "Do not prompt" checkbox. Close this IE and start IE under Sandboxie and check if the problem goes away. |

UPDATE:
I just did a test by loading the same trailer in Firefox. It loads correctly and does not give me the prompt. IE9 still does so I've narrowed it down to this browser and how it interacts with Sandboxie, if that helps. |

Actually, I have it set to automatically delete the Sandbox every time IE closes (which is an awesome feature by the way) so it doesn't seem like that could be the issue.
Has no one ever had this particular issue before? I figured lots of people watch trailers on Quicktime so I figured I couldn't be the only one. However, if it's an issue on my end I can try to trouble shoot it.
Thanks! |

| Try to delete the contents of your sandbox, perhaps this will cause the checkmark that you checked outside the sandbox, to also apply in the sandbox. |

I've been looking around the forums to try and find some type of compatibility profile that I could add to allow Quicktime to see these settings outside the Sandbox, but no such luck.
Anyone have any thoughts on what might be generating this?
Thanks! |

When not running Sandboxie, IE can load QuickTime with no issues. However, when I run IE in the Sandbox and go to iTune Movie Trailers and try to watch a trailer, it gives me this prompt:
I've already configured this and told it "No" and to "Not Prompt In The Future" but in the Sandboxie, this does not stick. If I load IE outside the Sandbox it does remember the settings.
It might also be important to note that I do not allow Sandboxie to have access to my IE cache. Could that be an issue?
Thanks! |
