well as that ini stands right now, it's a sandbox that has just permissions to files and keys - nothing is being told to execute in the box - in other words there is no forceprocess=(something)

go to configuration, set force programs and check what you want to run in the sandbox and "reload configuration" and then try it.

Although Forcing a process is a very smart thing, i dont think it will solve this error. Confused now after looking through the code, it appears to be fine, but apparently something is wrong with the syntax of the code, so heres a question, are you using some other text editor other than Notepad?

Yeah SND is right, I just tried your ini on my setup and did'nt get that error. But you've been surfing all this time unsandboxed? Your alert settings are set to tell you when IE and FF access without the box, which in your case means all the time.

Check all your settings out and also check out the auto-delete checkboxes, (If you want that deletion to occur) - in your other thread you were asking about scanners - have you settled that issue yet?

Since apparantly you've been surfing unsandboxed recently, when maybe you thought you were in fact sandboxed - I would very much reccomend a through scan of all the files on your comp.

you also asked ... in your other thread you were asking about scanners - have you settled that issue yet?

ive tried to scan the Sandboxie folder ( before allowing any thing on to my HDD )
with ...

a-Squared Free

AVG

but every time I click on the sandboxie folder , and click scan instead of just scanning the one Sandboxie folder
the scanner goes through a full system scan ..?

have I missed any settings in Sandboxie ..... Please...?

Thanks Mypenry

That box looks fine. I assume that you do not want the program to autodelete your sandbox. So you can just empty what you want, when you want.

The only thing I can think of with the scanner is maybe the individual scan is part of a paid version, and maybe you are using the free version? Anyways, the scan is not a part of Sandboxie. Maybe another member can jump in if they use that product.

Just remember that anytime you think that you are sandboxed, the hash marks will be in your title bar. If they are not there, and you want them there, you have to adjust that ini file - just come in here and ask.

MyPenry, I remembered from the other thread that you wanted to use Firefox portable along with regular Firefox, if that is still the case add Forceprocess=FirefoxPortable.exe to your ini right by the other forced processes. Close the ini and open the Sandboxie configuration box and "reload configuration" - should be good with that.

Actually, the version of FirefoxPortable that I have used (from PortableApps.com) on a flash drive, still uses the process name of Firefox.exe when it runs. I found that out after trying to use firefoxportable.exe in my sandboxie.ini file - and it didn't work.
