I know what you mean. I also had that error with one of the more recent test versions, and yet the tray icon was there and it has not been any problem since. Whether it's a coincidence or not, I also use Zone Alarm for my firewall. There were no ZA messages, though. Afterwards, ZA again asked for permission for Sandboxie to access privileged resources, as usual.

I've never been able to reproduce this problem myself, but I suspect it has to do with a lot of program activity during system start-up. In the worst case scenario, Harkonenn, you can tell Sandboxie to not start automatically, and then double click (run) Sandboxie Control manually after your system has started up.

OK, so I guess I'm not alone in this.
@Paul_K, I think ZA is a great firewall, but I'm considering trying out Comodo to see if I can train it better. @tzuk, thanks for the advice, I'll try that out. In fact, what I've done recently is cut down on the number of apps and utilities that I have autostart on login - choosing to manually start each one separately when I need it by using AutoHotKey.
