I use Win XP and just recently installed Sandboxie 3.3 -- so a newbie here. I open up my IE7, MS Outlook and Skype within the sandbox. At night, I set my PC to "hibernate" so I don't have to reboot and reopen everything in the morning.
My question: Will "hibernate" -- which copies from RAM to hard disk -- affect the safety or effectiveness of Sandboxie in any way? I am thinking the answer is "no" -- but just want to be sure. Thanks. |
Hello Beacon. My system is WinXP Pro SP2 and set to hibernate everynight. I've been using Sandboxie for several months now and have had absolutely no issues or problems with hibernating insofar as Sandboxie containment is concerned. I have multiple sandboxes, two for browsing and two for testing downloaded software. To play it safe, I always delete the contents of my browsing sandboxes prior to the pc going into hibernate mode...although I don't think it is necessary.
