If you really want SA version 2.6, you can get it on the Major Geeks site. To keep it from getting that pushed buggy update to 2.8, you can block the update with a HIPS program.

An alternative to SA is WOT. WOT in my IE7 plays and works fine with Sandboxie.

Yeah, actually, that's the thing I've been looking into for the past couple of hours, but I'm not done yet. So there is some news, and I will have more news later, maybe even tomorrow.

I was able to fix the problem. I have an unsandboxed Site Advisor 2.8.292 accessible and usable from within a sandboxed Internet Explorer browser.

I will release the next beta version of Sandboxie early next week, you should be able to try it out at that time.

Thats great news, I will try it, if the new version is available.
What about the ATL fix?
Must I cancel the ATL fix or not?

Thanks

The new Site Advisor works differently, and the ATL exclusion is no longer needed, and you should probably remove it. I think that tomorrow I will have a version for you to try.

Hi,
now two times Sandboxie 3.31.04 stoppt working.
When I surfing, sometimes I became an error message with a " ? ",
than I try to delete the Sandbox, and a sandclock shows me it dont works.
I close window and try to start sandboxed webbrowser again, but it dont start again.

After a windows restart it works for a while.

What happened?

Fiirst, regarding message SBIE2203. This should appear rarely and not interfere so probably not a reason to worry. I will try to fix it anyway.

Does the second problem still happen?

Yes, the second problem goes on.
After a while surfing, I see the erorr message "?" and sandboxed IE 7 freezes.
I exit IE 7 with the Task Manager.
I try to delete the sandbox but the deleting freezes too.
In my opinion there are too many files in the sandbox. (more than normal)
Then I can`t open sandboxed webbrowser again. (no reaction)

After a windows restart it works for a while.

Thanks. While using version 3.31.04, have you noticed if the freeze/error occur on a specific Web page?

I identified a problem that may be related to this. With an unsandboxed SiteAdvisor, the Sandboxie Service (SbieSvc) would slowly require more and more memory. It makes sense that an extended browsing session would cause SbieSvc to eventually run out of memory and fail. I think that's what happened for you. That particular problem should be fixed in version 3.31.06. Could you give it another try please?

Also I increased some limits which should prevent the message --

SBIE 2203 Fehler bei der Kommunikation mit dem Sandboxie-Dienst: null reply
(msg 00001B05 len 737140)

If you still see that message, please let me know the number that you see in the message, and I will increase the limit again.
