| Can't run any program at all in Sandbox! |

Have you looked at Windows Event Viewer, under both Applications and System, for any red error entries?
Maybe there's a clue there - or maybe not. |

Thanks for the reply. I've had a look - nothing in any of the logs to indicate a problem. I've cleared all the logs and will keep an eye on them though.
Any other ideas? |

It's most likely a conflict with some other program that you have. Other than virus guard, firewall and windows defender, do you have any other program or utility that might interact with other programs?
If you're willing to be adventurous with this, you can try to use a debugger to see where the crash happens. I've explained the steps needed to do this in some other topic: http://sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=4913 If you can post the debugger output here, it might shed some light on the cause of the conflict. |

Hi,
I think I'm getting somewhere. Thanks for the info on the Debugger. I've installed and run it and it appeared to indicate a problem with my nvidia display driver dll's. A number of reboots later, after disabling various items from the registry RUN folder, I think I've found the culprits. The two files in question are Nwiz and Nview. I assume that these are both associated with the display driver. I'll try updating the drivers later to see if I can run these files again. I can probably live without them though... Sandboxie now runs as expected - I'm typing this in a sandboxed window. Any Ideas why these should cause a problem? |

Just a comment.
I usually try to limit the number of processes that run at startup, and the 'nwiz' process is one that I have had disabled for quite a while. Not because I had any problem with it, but just to try to limit the use of resources. Using the msconfig utility, "Startup" tab, I allow NvCpl But do not allow nwiz NvMcTray |

Maybe NWIZ and/or NVIEW expect to be able to access some resource in some cases. When they run sandboxed, the resource may be unavailable, and they crash. Try to enable these again, and then use Resource Access Monitor to see if you can identify any NVIDIA resources.

Thanks for your help.
I've run the resource monitor, both with and without the Nview & Nwiz tasks running. The one that failes to run correctly in Sandboxie is a much longer report! Now, I don't really understand what I'm looking for here. Is it OK to post the results here for a little analysis? |

Ok. Two listings follow. Both are attempting to open Notepad in a sandboxed window.

Well, this should actually be pretty easy, hopefully.
Add the following to Resource Access -> IPC Access -> Direct Access *\BaseNamedObjects*\nView* Add the following to Resource Access -> Window Access NVIDIA* See if that helps. If not, post another log with this settings active. |

Perfect Wraithdu!
Everything is now re-enabled and Sandboxie is working fine with these settings. I think I can see where these were derived from. Hopefully, as I become more familiar with Sandboxie I'll be able to work these things out... Many thanks for everyone’s help. And a special thanks for a great product. |

I added these exclusions as default settings in version 3.36.02, so IJones, if you could please remove your custom settings and try Sandboxie 3.36.02 from this link to let me know if I got it right:
