It is not possible to install Office 2007 in a sandbox (on vista sp1). During the installation a "browse for folder" dialog shows up, but even though the right folder was entered the dialog reappears again and again ... Outside of the sandbox the installation works fine.

Did anybody experience the same issue?

Why do you want to install Microsoft Office in a sandbox

I have a couple of PCs at different places (and a laptop). I use Sandboxie to make my applications (settings) portable. I also reinstall Vista frequently. Sandboxie is great for this purpose. In addition I get extra security!

Wraithdu mentioned in another thread it should be possible, so I must be doing something wrong. Just don't know what.

At some point I did successfully install Office 2003 on Windows XP into a sandbox.
I will try Office 2007 on Windows Vista but probably not immediately as I have more pressing concerns.

Dear Tzuk, thanks for releasing 3.38. I tried to install office 2007 into a sandbox, but still get the same error. Probably you did not look into this yet? I hope you have more time now to look into this It is actually strange that the installer fails, since it doesn't do any low level operations or driver installations.
