Does anyone have an solution for this problem.
I got this error while I try to install the game Morrowind the elder scrolls III Game of the year edition.
There is a pop-up window with the message The installshield engine (iKernel.exe) could not be launched.Without sandbox the installer start normally.

Problem solved with an update to the latest beta of sandboxie

Hi guys, i have the same problem unfortunately :/ and i have the 3.42 version which is the latest. Any idea on how i can fix that? im using Windows 7 if that helps?

Thanks for the advice but it didn't work the error pops up saying: The installshield engine (ikernel.exe) could not be launched. The requested operation requires elevation. Oh and it's for the game Grandia 2 not morrowind if that helps .. btw merry christmas

Are you sure you correctly updated to the most recent beta?
I'm asking because I was fairly sure that I managed to resolve all the problems related to UAC elevation by now.

I have installed SandboxieInstall-343-06.exe on a new system. When trying to install ZooEmpire (with UAC option) i also get the iKernel error. Only if SbieCtrl.exe is already running as administrator, then no error occurs during the game setup.

Did you see the new black screen from Sandboxie saying that it is going to ask for elevation?

Yes, I see both: a new sandboxie information box (black window with text) and the UAC pop-up message from Windows!

While I did not try with any of the games mentioned here, I was able to reproduce the problem, so please try version 3.43.08:

Great, it works for me! Now I got two confirmations: the first for the Setup.exe and the second for the IKernel.exe. And after that the installation runs entirely accurate. Thank you for the quick support!
