Well, I hate to be the first to post this, but I've had two BSOD's from Sandboxie. I'm uploading my memory dumps and I'll post links soon.

First:
Finished manually updating the INI in notepad, saved, got BSOD on closing notepad.

Second:
Firefox was a forced program. Clicked FF shortcut to start it, BSOD.

My INI:
snipped. --tzuk

There are two dump archives, each has the main memory.dmp and the minidump. The first one for sure said it was from SbieDrv.sys. The second was not specific.

I'm using SBIE on an x64 Windows 7 system. I get a BSOD and automatic restart every time I add an application to SBIE and try to run it.

Thanks for the minidumps. So far it's two different crashes in the driver SbieDrv. But neither crash makes sense to me. Confused Has anything at all worked, or do you get crashes with everything?

It seems that this user (n8chavez) has similar crashes with everything:

Honestly, I removed it after those two BSODs. I didn't want to hose anything up by crashing the hell out of the system.

If it makes a difference, I was thinking this morning about 64 vs 32-bit programs. I didn't get a chance to look into the install directory, but are there two versions of SbieDll.dll now, a 32-bit and a 64-bit? FF is a 32-bit program, and I didn't get a chance to test sandboxing any native 64-bit apps.

Along those lines, does InjectDll have support for 32 vs 64-bit module injection? It would have to detect the target app and inject the correct bit version of the DLL.

Certainly understandable about removing a faulty product Smile

I fixed problem 2, it was the combination of running as full admin (elevated, or with UAC disabled) + the drop rights settings that was causing the crash.

As for problem 1, that crash is still strange to me, but I made a minor change somewhere, I hope it will help.

Finally regarding InjectDll, you're quite right. I will revise the 64-bit SbieDll to use InjectDll64 instead of the "normal" InjectDll.

Cool, I'll test at home once you release the update.

To be clear about InjectDll, that means there will be two INI directives available, InjectDll and InjectDll64, and the correct one will be used based on the target app, correct?

1. Please try 3.43.12:

2. Right: Both InjectDll and InjectDll64.
