Sandboxie 64 bit won't install driver

The driver won't install on my system. My system is HP Pavilion m9515y. It has 750 GB 3 Gb/s Sata drive but it has a "fake raid" controller. I'm assuming this is the cause of the problem since it also limits the image backup programs I can use(due to boot CD recovery issues.)

The OS is Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1. System has 8GB ram.

The service installed and started but attempting to launch anything tells me the driver isn't there.

Have you installed the very latest build, 3.43.12? I know that I was having this issue with 3.43.11, along with the BSOD issue, and that was solved with this latest build.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I just downloaded the newest today and tried it. I'm pretty sure it's that Raid controller. In the system specs it doesn't list it(just says 750 GB Sata.) Probably a good thing because I like the machine and if I knew it had this dumb HD setup I probably would have gotten a different PC. That's the only feature that's really a pita.

Oh well, at least I found image backup programs with rescue CDs that will work with that Raid controller. I have image restore in case of disaster. I'll keep trying the new releases to see if I get lucky. Smile

Hi!

Having the same problem with driver won't load. Tried different versions from 3.43.13 up to 3.43.16, everytime the same problem.
Tried 3.01 this one runs but I cannot install the application I triy to test (msiexec cannot connect to Installer Service).
OS is Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 (German), all updates/patches installed.
I made some testing and found that the sandboxie driver is installed but won't start because "A device attached to the system is not functioning."

Here is the output from sc-command:

sc query sbiedrv

SERVICE_NAME: sbiedrv
TYPE : 1 KERNEL_DRIVER
STATE : 1 STOPPED
(NOT_STOPPABLE, NOT_PAUSABLE, IGNORES_SHUTDOWN))

WIN32_EXIT_CODE : 31 (0x1f)
SERVICE_EXIT_CODE : 0 (0x0)
CHECKPOINT : 0x0
WAIT_HINT : 0x0

sc start sbiedrv
[SC] StartService FEHLER 31:

Ein an das System angeschlossenes Gerät funktioniert nicht. (<-- A device attached to the system is not functioning.)

Some idea on how to fix this?

Thanks,
Kucht

Sandboxie 64-bit only supports the following 64-bit operating systems...

o Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 or later
o Windows 7.

Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 is the same generation as Windows XP 64, and both apparently are not supported. As I said somewhere else, I did not intentionally disable support for pre-Vista-SP1, but I'm also not going to support it. Sorry.
