I believe this should be resolved in version 3.43.14. |

Thus far with 3.43.14, Windows Media Player will not execute sandboxed for me:

I also see that \Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe (as opposed to \Program Files (x86)\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe) will run sandboxed with no application crash but with some broken Library/Playlist-related functionality.

There was a big problem with registry handling for 32-bit programs in version 3.43.14. After I fixed that, the 32-bit Windows Media Player works. I'm not sure about the broken Library/Playlist-related functionality, can you try version 3.45.15?

WMP 32-bit executes sandboxed now with no problems. The Library/Playlist problems still exist: a sandboxed WMP will not add new Libraries (folders) via "Organize" > "Manage libraries" and will not allow playlist creation via "Create playlist". |

I haven't yet fixed those problems in version 3.43.16, but I do see them. I haven't had a chance to check myself, but: In your experience do these library/playlist functions work fine in 32-bit Windows 7?

I should have checked 7 32-bit at the time because I see now that the functions are broken there as well. This is a general Windows 7 issue. |

Looks like I forgot to post an update here, sorry. I fixed library issue a couple of versions ago, it was a problem with rename, that also had the hidden benefit of resolving this problem:
http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=6284 As for playlist management, I did not yet figure out what is wrong there, I'm going to leave this problem open for now. |
