Hi everyone,
I think the "drop my rights" feature of sandboxie and the ability to control which programs can access the Internet and which programs are able to run in the sandbox are very, very, good features of sandboxie.
If you have sandboxie set up so only a minimum number of programs will run in the sandbox and/or so only a minimum number of programs can access the Internet, sometimes the alert box will pop up and tell you a certain program that needs to access the net or that needs or wants to run in the sandbox cannot execute due to the settings.
This alert is fine, but I would suggest that two icons pop up with the alert. One icon that says "allow this program to run permanently" and on icon that says "allow this program to run only once". The icons would also apply for internet access as well.
You may have a new program that you want to let run on a permanent basis, or that needs internet access on a permanent basis. On the other hand, you may only need a one time or very limited use of the program. If the users have icons like the ones I propose, they will not have to manually search for the program exe file to give it either a one time or permanent permission, and this would be much more convenient and easy for users.
It makes sense to me, what do you guys think ?
Thanks for your consideration.
Sincerely,
John
