Sorry for hijacking this thread, but I can't post a new 1 in this forum.....

On Vista 64bit SP2,I get this error:
SBIE2334 Cannot load DLL file: wer.dll
SBIE2304 Initialization failed for process WerFault.exe

Only other security software installed,is MS Security Essentials 2.0.522.0,and Windows Firewall, with Windows Firewall Control 1.6 as gui for that 1.
This error started with 3.51 beta 1 and is still happening with 3.51 beta 4.......however,when I revert back to 3.50,the error is gone, and I can access the internet again through SandBoxie.

Sorry for another hijack but I have a similar problem with Sigmaplot 11 on win7 x64. A demo can be downloaded from http://www.scientific-solutions.ch/download/demo/spss/demo%20spw11/SPW_WebInstall.exe, which can be installed with a trial serial 775050001. In addition to a problem of registering an ocx, Sandboxie encounters:

SBIE2334 Cannot load DLL file: SPWzds.dll
SBIE2304 Initialization failed for process SPW.exe

The problem manifests in all 3.51 versions up to 08, and installation on 3.50 does not work due to problems with sxs.

Thanks for your help.

As you can see, I split the comments regarding SigmaPlot 11 into this topic.

I was able to reproduce the problem but it isn't yet clear to me why this happens. I'll need to spend more time with this to figure this out, so I'll probably only get to this after releasing version 3.52.

As a side note, I noticed the problem with registering the OCX happens even when the software is installed outside the sandbox on 64-bit Windows, so this specific thing is probably not related to Sandboxie. But the problems with SPWzds.dll and SPW.exe do not occur outside the sandbox.

tzuk, thank for the update and I will wait in the meantime. Maybe I should mention that I had it working on 3.442 before (win7x64) but it got broken after the windows update in June last year. I recall that update also broke other things for you. Also the ocx did not register with 3.442 but the program could run.

Cheers.

I wanted to post an update here that I was able to fix this problem. You should see this fixed in version 3.53.01, which I will release in the near future.

Please check version 3.53.01. Note that on Windows 7 (but not Vista) I still see these error messages towards the end of the installation:

SBIE2334 Cannot load DLL file: SPWzds.dll
SBIE2304 Initialization failed for process SPW.exe

However these messages do not interfere with running the program.

I have just tried this for a couple of days. It works fine and no errors reported with the new version 12. Many thanks.

However it's broken by Win 7 SP1. The main program SPW.exe starts, takes a long time to display the splash, and then just hangs idle.

I'll look into that. In the mean time you might want to try version 3.53.04.

Remained the same. Resource log in the following, not sure if of any use. It seems to hang on "start.exe" after loading the dlls.

snipped. --tzuk

This is caused by the same problem as discussed in this topic,

http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=10008

This application accesses the print spooler when it comes up and because it is a 32-bit application it suffers the same problem as described in the other topic.

Should be fixed in the next beta build.
