Version 3.57.01 enhances the color border feature a bit:

- On Windows 7 when Aero is enabled, the Sandboxie border rectangle wraps around the Aero border rather than be on top of it.

- The border should hopefully follow the window more closely during a window resize/move operation.

- The border goes invisible if any part of it would be obscured by a window that is "always on top".

- Sandbox Settings > Appearance offers new option to display the border only when the mouse is in the window title area.

- When a new sandbox is created, the default is now to have a yellow border that appears when the mouse is in the title area.

The feature works great, no problems there!
But may I just say, I personally think it's a bad decision to enable the border setting by default though. I create (and delete) a lot of sandboxes frequently and it's annoying to have the border enabled when it's honestly something I don't use.
Though atleast in this case, it only enables when hovering over the title bar. Razz

Also a suggestion, maybe instead of making each sandbox yellow bordered, instead choose a random color for each new sandbox? Otherwise I could see some people being "confused" when every program from each sandbox has a yellow color, whereas they're used to using different colors for each sandbox.

I use red, green, or yellow borders for specific purposes, so having those colors chosen at random for a new sandbox wouldn't be my first choice.

[Edit] This screen shot from the Appearance section is truncated, for me:

Thanks Guest10, I will fix that.

SnD, how about if you copy the definitions of an existing sandbox that doesn't have a border, when you create the new sandbox. I'm talking about the new "copy settings from" feature of the New Sandbox dialog box.

I noticed in v3.56 that when using the option to create a new sandbox with copied settings, all settings are duplicated except the colored border option. Is that the case now?

I understand, but theres no reason you cant change the color to whatever you like in each sandbox.
This way though, if someone wants the border enabled, but doesn't care what color the border is, then atleast the border color would be different for each new sandbox.

Good idea! That works great, though I still wish the border wasn't enabled by default. Smile
