Yes, I have test it with default settings. My Sandbox Container is every day fresh, I have the Sandbox-Container on Z:\ (My RAM-Disk). All Internet Temps, Cookies, maybe malware, virus,... everyday delete automaticly -> with Windows shutdown.
Maxthon is always ignored from sandboxie on my PC.
The same problem.. every day (with fresh/new Sandbox every day).
No matter what I have to start first in sandboxie, if Maxthon at first and then CC-Bar, or with fresh sandbox -> first CC-Bar and then Maxthon.

On my PC: without Sandbox -> Maxthon work fine, after I say Maxthon Default Browser and after this I start CC-Bar.
Then the adlinks/adbanner and popups from Surfbar start in Maxthon.
Why not on your PC without sandboxie...

What version do you install from Maxthon?
The Lite/Classic-Version too? -> 1.6.3?
Or have you install the Latest-Version 2.5.12.4586 ?

If your sandbox is on a RAM-disk it might be a FAT32 filesystem. I just recently fixed a problem when the sandbox is on a FAT32 drive.

So try version 3.45.06 (or .07), who knows, it might fix it. Or if you don't want to upgrade, try placing the sandbix on your C drive (NTFS filesystem) and see if that improves anything.

Yes, my RAM-Disk is FAT-32. But I think, this is not the problem, because I use my Sandbox for all time (that I use Sandbox) on RAM-Disk (circa 9 month -> on Windows XP with RAM-Disk too, with my last PC). And for a few month are no problems with maxthon (with old version -> 3.42 ((and maybe without the 2 IE8 Security updates))).

But I test it with the newest Sandboxie Version the next days. I tell you my news here.

I have install Version 3.45.06, but the same problem. No changes. Can you test it with Sandboxie old Version 3.42 once again? If you can, can you see that Maxthon behave differently?
Work Maxthon with this old Version normal and don't ask (only in Sandbox) for default browser and open all adlink/adbanner in Maxthon?
I think all of Maxthon work with this old version normal, without CC-Bar restart, switch between default browsers,....?!?

Sorry for not responding earlier here. But I'm not sure what to tell you, in any case. As I said, I already see that things are working correctly and as expected, so there is little point that I try version 3.42 to see that things are also working correctly and as expected.

You have no idea, why with my sandboxie all adlinks/adbanner never open in Maxthon?
(Only IN Sandboxie. Without Sandboxie all adlinks/adbanner open in Maxthon.)


You can see no problem with the "default browser" question too? (after you have out of sandboxie set Maxthon as default browser, after this start Maxthon in Sandboxie -> the default-browser question comes again)?

i think i know the problem between Maxthon (Lite/Classic-Version 1.6.3) and IE under Sandboxie!

If you install: After install (Run as admin this software) you must click updates in the software and install the updates for current protection). Then you can say in the software "Imunisieren / immunize" and now in Firefox and IE are vulnerability were closed (Security gaps) and IE become two Ad-Ons.

I think Sandboxie has problems with this changes in IE when you IE then start with sandboxie -> Under Sandboxie: Sandboxie ignore Maxthon-Brwoser and instead open IE.

Can you read/check the old problem with install the security software (best with windows 7)?

I use the security software for years, i have test the problem 20 minutes ago without sandboxie and the websites starts in Maxthon from surfbar. With sandboxie the websites start in IE (not in Maxthon, although i done maxthon as default browser). I think Sandboxie ignore this because sandboxie has a problem with the security software which makes changes in IE.

The Immunize feature of Spybot Search & Destroy has been known to conflict with Sandboxie for a long time. You can search this forum for the word immunize to find some old topics. If the Immunize feature is indeed the cause of the problem, then we can chalk it up to the same conflict.

on my Win XP Notebook, IE based Surfbar (Links) open in Maxthon-Browser (in and out of Sandboxie -> without Spybot Search & Destroy).

On my Win 7 PC, (IE based -> Surfbar) links open (out of Sandboxie) in Maxthon. In Sandboxie the links open not in Maxthon -> the links open in IE. Popups from surfbar normally starts in Maxthon too. But with sandboxie the popups start in IE -> Sometimes the Popups and Links don't (not even) start from surfbar in IE and IE crashes (problem report sent to microsoft in sandboxie -> werfault.exe start in sandboxie)
But i think this is not a problem with Win 7. I think this problem is because the Spybot Search & Destroy Software.

Do you know you can test the Spybot Search & Destroy Software and find a solution with the Spybot Search & Destroy Software and Sandboxie?

The problem with Maxthon / S&D was only, that I use Start.exe from Sandboxie runs as Administrator. Now I use Sandboxie/Start.exe not as Administrator, and no more problems now. Maybe because I use S&D ad Administrator -> conflict?

I don't remember that I have for a long time say: runs Start.exe as Administrator. :-S

But now: No more problems.
