Hi,

It would be very nice when you create a shortcut to an application within a sandbox if the shortcut would take on the icon of the exe it is pointing to rather than the sandboxie icon.

Thanks.

May I alternatively suggest a Sandboxie image over the app's icon instead of a Windows Shortcut arrow:

You may suggest. I'll probably look into this as part of developing the next version, so I'll consider it then.

Apparently Sandboxie has been putting the correct icon on shortcuts for quite some time.

As for an icon overlay, as far as I can tell this requires a shell extension, i.e. software that ties into Windows Explorer. This means uninstalling/reinstallation of Sandboxie becomes more complicated, so I don't think I'll do it.

No worries, thank you kindly for your consideration and investigation in what, I am sure, are increasingly busy days!

I was only half right, Sandboxie was only selecting the correct icon when the program EXE file could be found outside the sandbox.

In version 3.63.01, the correct icon will be selected even for programs installed inside the sandbox.
