I am unable to run firefox in Sandboxie. I was able to do so for a few weeks when suddenly all stopped. When I attempt to load Firefox w/sandboxie I get the BSOD. After uninstalling Sandboxie, rebooting, doing a malware scan, reinstalling Sandboxie, creating a new Firefox profile the problem showed up again, only this time i was able to load the new profile in Sandboxie, but as soon as i went online it was BSOD time. Anyone with ideas?

Hello Sandman

Does this also happen if you just launch SBIE Controller alone (without launching FF)?

Yes

Curious. We may have to wait for tzuk to comment.
You may want to induce a crash, and save the subsequent minidump file, should tzuk request it.
He may require it in order to find the nature of the crash.

Since you already did a fresh install of Sandboxie which is working with other browsers, the problem may be that something has gotten corrupted in your FireFox installation. You may want to try reinstalling FireFox. Does FireFox run OK outside the sandbox?

Are you running any FireFox add-ons (extensions or themes - skins)?

Yes, rather then me listing them, would you please post any that you might know of that have caused problems that could be causing my issue?

I doubt anyone knows which (if any) skin/extension may be causing your problem.
I'd suggest disabling/unloading ALL of them, and see if it helps.

I'd like to think I wrote Sandboxie better than to crash because of something an application like Firefox does. Smile Typically crashes occur because of something other drivers do. That is, either the Sandboxie driver confuses some other driver, or it's the other way around.

In any case, I think a minidump file is probably the way to go. Sandman, can you produce one and make it available to me?

I was misunderstood. I wrote "please post any that you might know of that have caused problems that could be causing my issue?" In other words, are there know FF extensions that have caused problems similier to what I have posted ?

@tzuk.....how would I produce the dump?

(I'm not tzuk, but..)
The crash should produce a minidump file in your Windows\minidump folder.
