Win7 Ultimate 64bit, fully updated, Sandboxie 3.64

I am trying to install a program that is supposed to operate as a service, but I cannot even make it finish the installer before it appears to crash.

The program is Daz Content Manager Service.

After being installed, it is supposed to run in the background - though obviously I would have to start it manually for it to run in the sandbox.

This is not a copy protection application. It's supposed to be a database that keeps track of installed content, to avoid conflicts and make resource usage easier in the main program.

maybe that service cant be run sandboxed? lots of services arent supposed to runvirtually that way.

btw - any answer from DAZ themselves to that issue?

Maybe it cannot, but that shouldn't by itself make the installer quit prematurely.

Why is this a mediafire link rather than a link to a free download from the software maker?

This program is PART of a bigger program.

I bought the main application from the vendor, and it is currently free.

I copy/pasted this installer from the main install directory during the install, because it gets deleted if it fails to install. I don't know how, but I would assume it is the main installer that erases it. Perhaps under the assumption that it completed successfully?!

So it is impossible to download this application from the vendor's site. It is also useless without the main application, since it is a support program that works with managing resources for other programs from this specific vendor also. Thus it is installed when you install either the Carrara or DAZ Studio application.
