After upgrading from version 3.64 to 3.68 cant access disk that is has folder in it that are restricted for that sandbox.

Chrome is sandboxed and when i try to download files to that disk , it says chrome has crashed .

The disk is not restricted .

Going back to ver 3.66 results in the same behavior .

So i went back to 3.64 and all is fine there .

( i am using win 7 32)

Chrome 18.0.1.025.162 m

In case it matters .

So the disk is not restricted but there are folders in it that are restricted. Is that right?
Can you list an example of that?
And possibly list the settings for the sandbox used with Chrome.

The restricted folders are actually other sandboxes, but they where not present at the time .

only one another sandbox was present on that disk and its not restricted .

Downloading to another disk was no problem .

I haven't tried other browsers because of time limit .

This could be a chrome issue because this was the reason i upgraded sanddboxie in the first place. ( Every time i pressed the "maps gl" in google maps i got a message , blocked " connect port")

I think until next time this will happen i cannt give any more information .

The other sandbox folder contain undeleted chrome creadentials .

Are you sure this has anything to do with what you refer to as restricted folders?

Have you tried to run this version of Chrome in a new sandbox with default settings? (On version 3.68.)

And if you are certain this has to do with specific sandbox settings, can you be more specific which settings those are?

I'd like to try to reproduce this problem, but I'm not sure which settings I might have to apply to see it.

I have written all the possibilities i think its related to. All where tried on sandboxie 3.68 (now i am back to 3.64 where its o.k) and Chrome 18.0.1.025.162 m


I think the most reasonable option is :

That there is another sandbox on that drive which has chrome other credentials. or this is just another undeleted other session of chrome... and this is the problem.


i think the folowing option is less likely now .

There is restriction for this sandbox not to enter other folders or sandboxes on that disk (sandboxes that where not present at the time) ....

All the mentioned above is when trying to download a file to that disk .
