I caused myself some confusion today because of an oversight, and even though no one else may ever have this issue, I thought that I would report what happened in case it's something that needs to be addressed.
When a program is installed in a sandbox, it's very useful to have that program show up at the top of 'Run From Start Menu' > 'Desktop', or 'Programs'.
I 'Deleted Contents' and 'Removed' my "Aurora" sandbox, that contained the previous version of Firefox Aurora.
But I forgot to delete an "Aurora" shortcut that I had placed on my real Desktop.
That shortcut's Target line listed the complete path to "firefox.exe" inside of the (now) deleted "Aurora" sandbox.
So, the "Aurora" shortcut on my real Desktop became a non-working shortcut, that I should have deleted.
I installed the latest Firefox Aurora program in a sandbox (I called the sandbox Firefox14, this time), and that install put a shortcut named "Aurora" in the sandboxed All Users Desktop folder: (sandbox)\user\all\Desktop.
There is no: (sandbox)\user\current\Desktop folder in the sandbox, so there is no "Aurora" shortcut placed on the "current" user's sandboxed Desktop.
Using 'Run From Start Menu' > 'Desktop', the shortcut that showed at the top of the menu was the non-working shortcut that I had on my real Desktop.
Normally, the All Users Desktop shortcut would have been the one that shows at the top of 'Run From Start Menu' > 'Desktop', but the shortcut with the same name, that was on my real Desktop, was the one that was showing at the top of the 'Desktop' menu.
It's icon was greyed out, and of course it didn't work (no error message was generated).
Once I deleted the non-working "Aurora" shortcut from my real Desktop, an install of Aurora in the sandbox correctly showed the shortcut that is in the sandboxed All Users Desktop folder, at the top of 'Run From Start Menu' > 'Desktop'.

I get what you're saying:
Normally, a per-user shortcut overrides the all-users shortcut for the same name.
But in this case, all-users shortcut should override, because all-users shortcut is in the sandbox, and the per-user shortcut is outside the sandbox.
I'll see what I can do about it.

I decided to address this by emulating the Windows behavior more closely. Which is by displaying entries from both the current and public desktop folders. Before this change, files in the current desktop folder would override (or hide) files from the public desktop folder that have the same name.

Version 3.69.02 implements the change I described above.
