Whenever I print from a sandboxed Adobe Reader, irrespective of whether I allow it internet access (and generally I do not), it takes forever for the large print dialogue box to come up. So much so that "not responding" comes up in the banner.

This does nor occur if the program is not sandboxed. And the relevant sandboxes clear every time I close the program.

Win 7 64 bit, Sandboxie 3.58, 4gb ram

3.58 or 3.68 ?

3.68 and now Reader 10.1.3 with same problem.

I've had some reports about this problem but so far I haven't been able to reproduce it myself.

It seems that turning off protected mode in Adobe Reader fixes this, but obviously this isn't the optimal solution.

Can you check if the same behavior also occurs in a new sandbox that you create, which only has the default settings?

Yes, it's the same in a new, default, sandbox.

In this case, try to turn off the protected mode in the settings window of Adobe Reader. This should only be a workaround until I find out how I can reproduce the problem so I can fix it.

Yes, turning off protected mode fixed it. Not such a problem as it is a forced program, but I will still feel more comfortable when you resolve the issue. Thanks.

I would like to know if version 3.69.02 happens to fix the problem.

I did not address this problem specifically in version 3.69.02, but I fixed something, which I hope might be related to this.

Unfortunately no change. But I also noticed that bringing up the preferences dialogue (Edit/Preferences) in Reader X is also slow in protected mode - it may well have been the same before..

At least it means I will give the beta a test.
