Now, don't flame me. im still relatively new to sandboxie.

I have my IDM setup for quick recovery. before i allow it are the files scanned by my AV software?

And can i mock install an app inside SB (before allowing quick recovery) and see if it attempts to drop malware or a trojan? and then simply delete the contents, and then install normally?

Assuming that your AV software is running in memory, and your browser or IDM is calling it to scan downloads, then yes.

Yes. If the download is still inside of the sandbox, you can run it from there and it will run sandboxed - using that same sandbox.

There are numerous ways to open a downloaded file that's in the sandbox.
1) Right-click the Sandboxie Control tray icon > (select sandbox) > Run Windows Explorer > Dbl-click the file.
2) Run unsandboxed Windows Explorer > navigate to file in sandbox > Dbl-click the file.
3) Sandboxie Control menu > View > Files and Folders > Select the sandbox from the drop-down arrow > navigate to and right-click the .exe file > Run Sandboxed

No flamers, here.
