I open this 2nd threat to clarify the mess I'm having. The first one is too full of bullsh## that does not show my status quo any longer.

System: WinXP_SP2, Sandboxie v2.86 x86
Browser: Portable FF v1.5.0.11
Autostart: None regarding sandboxie; SbieDrv-service set to "automatic".
Recent situation:
Control.exe is neither started at startup, nor manually, nor while starting FF with this shortcut:
Code:
(...)\sandbox\start.exe /box:surfbox (...)\firefox\firefox.exe"

As long as control.exe is not started, I could keep on surfing for hours. Sandboxing to "surfbox" works perfectly; no trouble at all. As soon as I do start control.exe one of three things happens:
    [a] If I have not surfed before, I can start ff w/o problems and start surfing. It will go smoothly for some time, but eventually the errormessages will pop up, not stopping until I kill control.exe. After that I will be able to continue surfing, but after a short time ff will crash eventually.

    [b] If I have surfed before and ff is still running, same thing will happen as in (a)

    [c] If I have surfed before and ff is closed, the errormessages might and might not pop up. This is not depending on the contents of the "surfbox"! I have had the errormessages pop up with "surfbox" filled, but also had them after deleting all contents of the "surfbox" before starting control.exe.

I do believe this is somehow linked to the contents of RAM, but since I'm no expert on stuff like that I really hope for your help!

thank you for your time!

PS: Sandboxie.ini -> section "surfbox" (left the global settings unchanged)
Code:
[surfbox]

FileRootPath=(...)\surfbox
AutoDelete=no
BlockDrivers=y
BlockFakeInput=y
CopyLimitKb=262144
CopyLimitSilent=no
LingerProcess=acrord32.exe
LingerProcess=jusched.exe
LingerProcess=syncor.exe
RecoverFolder=(...)\surfing\
ClosedFilePath=!iexplore.exe,%Cookies%
ClosedFilePath=%Personal%
OpenFilePath=firefox.exe,(...)firefox\data\profile\bookmark*
OpenFilePath=firefox.exe,(...)firefox\data\profile\cookie*.txt
OpenFilePath=firefox.exe,(...)firefox\data\profile\adblockplus\*

Well this separation of topic didn't help much for me. Now I have to delete my answer there. Sad Next time please keep the discussion in the same topic.

The reason you don't see these messages when Control isn't running, is because Control is always the one displaying them. They occur in the sandboxed program, but they are displayed by Sandboxie Control.

I think you have a conflict with a third-party tool. Can you try to identify which one?

you're right; sorry. Still think this was easier for all the other "potential" helpers in here. Wink

I will try. Would that also have to be running in the sandbox, or could that be any program? Cause FF is the only tool running sandboxed when I use it.

It could be ANY program regardless of whether its running inside or outside sandboxie, actually, usually when there is a conflict, its normally from a program outside of sandboxie.
