i dont know is it me only or not,

But running firefox 3.55 inside sandboxie always lags the firefox, and often give error, not responding (firefox) before respond back a few seconds later.

Maybe it is KIS fault, but running it outside sandboxie just seldom happen.

Problems with saved settings from .10 to .10 (not a typo)

I installed the new Online Armor beta .14, and was having some issues with sbie .10 sometimes saving directly to C: folder without Recover/WMV/slow?-
Sooo I decided to uninstall/reinstall .10?

I clicked on the .10 download, and ticked uninstall (after a fresh restart/sandbox empty).
For the first time, I selected to save settings?
CCleaner, and bad reinstall .10!-

No sandbox icon on taskbar, or sbie IE7 icon on desktop (but was in Start Program list).
Uninstalled .10 again (no saved settings), and deleted all sbie from Win Prefetch(SEVERAL)/CCleaner.

Reinstalled .10 is now working good with NO issues!
I'm guessing that old sbie Prefetch may have been causing my past sbie problems!?-
I would suggest that you give ALL new sbie Prefetch unique identifiers..., so they don't pick up the old ones!

I can't control what goes into the Prefetch folder, and in all the time I use Windows (XP), I never saw the prefetch mechainsm "get confused". So in my experience it is highly unlikely for the prefetch mechanism to be involved in any problems.

Latest beta seems fine for my needs on all my XP/Visata/7/VM installs.

All I really do is run FF sandboxed looking for new malware samples and run a lot those samples sandboxed as well.

Some samples are SB/VM aware which is annoying but no big deal.

Yes, the beta seems fine, in fact I'm getting ready to release version 3.42.

One small item before the release:

It would be nice to alphabetize all of the application names in the security/privacy box. Those have gotten a bit out of sequence.

As always, thanks for all of the ongoing improvements! Very Happy

A long time ago, there was an issue that when you clicked the XP Start Menu>Favorites> Some Site - a Security warning popped up. That was brought up and fixed in the next release. At least for me, the problem has returned with 3.41.12. Maybe others can confirm - it may be my setup.

Sandboxie 3.41.12 is running well for me on Windows XP Pro SP3. Firefox still requires approx 60 seconds to load (Trusteer Rapport is installed). Just thought I'd let you know that the Fx delayed start is ongoing.

Dave53, point taken.

MitchE323, thanks, looking at my change logs, I think this problem came back in version 3.41.09, so appreciate you identifying it before version 3.42. Please try version 3.41.13.

Tsimmes, I guess we'll have to revisit this issue in a future version of Sandboxie. As you can read in the topic about Rapport, other people who have reported the slowdown ended up identifying a conflict that involved Sandboxie, Rapport and one more piece of software. So maybe that's also the case for you:

I found a really small UI glitch in 3.41.13 (and probably older versions as well).

1) create a new sandbox
2) go to Sandbox Settings -> Restrictions -> Internet Access
3) click 'Block All Programs' (the button becomes 'Allow All Programs')
4) click the line in the edit box, then 'Remove'
5) the button remains 'Allow All Programs'

If you click Apply, or OK and reopen, the button text is corrected, so it's really a minor detail.
