3.43.03 corrupts Windows Live Mail Contacts?

XP sp3, A2paid (allowed), no OA firewall yet. 3.43.03 100% clean install
Same problem with 3.42-
WLM is allowed in mail settings, and nothing else but delete all on closing in Invocation.

If I make changes to the WLM Contacts outside of sbie- no problem.
If I make changes in sbie it corrupts the Contacts file, and old addresses start showing up as default?

On closing all the sbie programs linger, and never close (3min).

Is there some other setting..., I should try?

I don't think there is anything that you can try, but I will try to install Windows Live Mail (latest version right?) and check if I get the problem.

I uninstalled the latest WLM version (CCleaner...) & reinstalled (Imported OE6) just to be sure, but the issue still lingers?

I feel that A2 may be blocking sbie settings!-
Am I installing sbie correctly?- Any suggestions?

My last upgrade install to 3.43.03 I had A2 active (several A2 pop-ups/always ignore), and reboot.
Sbie popped-up on startup I said that it now recognized A2?- I had already highlighted A2/add/OK (AM I DOING THIS CORRECTLY?) on install, reboot.

I then go to add sbie WLM icon to desktop..., and A2 blocked first attempt with more pop-ups (answered always ignore).
~~~~~~~~
This time-
I disabled A2, & put OA in learning mode- uninstalled sbie(no settings save. gigo!), 2 reboots, ccleaner, defrag, 2 reboots.
Disabled A2/OA learning mode, and clean installed sbie highlighted OA/A2/add/OK, reboot.
Disabled A2, and did sbie settings, reboot.
This time WLM is closing MUCH faster, and no programs are lingering (invocation/auto-delete)!
From now on I am disabling A2 for ALL installs/uninstalls/settings!
So to be sure I understand you correctly -- are you saying that your problems with a sandboxed Windows Live Mail (including corruption of address book) do not occur when A2 is disabled?
Hey tzuk! Hows it going? Very Happy
I've been testing out each version/beta you've posted ever since my last post, I just never got around to posting on the forum til now. Razz
Anyways, just wanted to say, the 3.43.x betas (and 3.42 before that) are running great, then again, when does Sandboxie never run great to begin with? Wink
I've noticed alot of nice recent additions to the program since I last posted here, from additional Settings pages, to new Sandboxie controls, to improved program support, to old bugs that were finally squashed, old requested features finally added and even the site is a little different now, with a section of the site dedicated to Sandboxie "extras" if you will, contributed by members of this forum (which is nice to see they are still here btw Wink) and is it just me, or is there also a couple new sections on the forum as well? Shocked
Anyways, keep up the good work, Sandboxie is great, its the first program I install whenever putting on a new Windows (or just re-formatting), I cant live without it. Very Happy
Btw guys, since its only a few days away now, just want to say Happy Holidays to everyone! Very Happy
SnD nice to see you, thanks for the kind words. Smile Yes, as you can see, keeping busy here.
Guest10: I did touch something in the delete sandbox process -- I was trying to keep stuff from going into System Restore. I couldn't make it work, but I guess I broke something along the way. I will take a look.
XP sp3/IE7, and win 7/IE8- sbie 3.43.07
I posted awhile back somewhere on sbie 3.43... forum, about the Google Services part (under the search box)-
Sometimes Very Slow Loading/Appearing?
I've tried different defraggers, Reg/file cleanups, firewalls (Top-Rated free PCtools FW- is fast!), anti-virus...-
to no avail?
Well I just found out "why/solution", on another forum!-
Google has started a new "fade in" on Services- where they don't appear until you move your mouse! SHEESH!
Sooo I just open Google, and move my mouse for a Quick Load!
If I find a problem later on in my usage I will post on problem page.
Using the 08 beta version, and Eraser 6.06.1376. Sandboxie shows the red X in the tray, but it just stays that way, red X (showing that the box is being deleted) stays there, won't go away till computer is re-booted.
I don't know if this will help but it might be worth reading this thread on Wilders
My experience, when installing the new Eraser version during a virtual session:
V6.0.6.1376 no longer includes the command line "eraserL.exe" program that Sandboxie uses.
Any "eraserL.exe" file on the hard drive has been left behind by a previous version of Eraser.
Uninstalling the previous Eraser version didn't remove "eraserL.exe" from the System32 folder, and installing v6.0.6.1376 didn't install any new version of "eraserL.exe" anywhere.
Anyone newly installing Eraser v6, and who did not have a previous version installed, will not have the "eraserL.exe" program on their hard drive.
Having said that, I had no problem when using the old "eraserL.exe" program with Sandboxie 3.43.08 (while Eraser 6 was installed), when I tried it with my usual sandbox.
This is on XP.
On the other hand, I just had the red X remain for the tray icon, and I use SDelete.
I verified that SDelete wasn't still running, and Control's window showed no sandboxed programs running either.
Starting my sandboxed browser caused the red X icon to change to Sandboxie's normal tray icon, with red dots.
I did not have the old version installed before but, I changed the eraser.exe to eraserl.exe and it did delete the sandbox. I did not try to use eraser for any other cleanup, I would think that it wouldn't work.
Just that red X stays.
Thanks for the info. Guess I will stay with CC.
