Hi all !
I am using Pegasus Mail 4.41 under Windows 2000 Professional with SP4, and I have a terrible problem. If I install Sandboxie and then Pegasus Mail, then winpm-32.exe eats up 100% of the cpu and it becomes impossible to kill unless you reboot the machine. If Sandboxie is uninstalled, then Pegasus Mail works flawlessly. Here is the thread I started on the Pegasus Mail forum : http://community.pmail.com/forums/thread/20914.aspx. I think this can be reproduced, so if you are willing to try, maybe you could identify the problem. Here are the versions used of Sandboxie : 3.40 and 3.42. I did not try with 3.38, nor with the option of Sandboxie not starting with windows. I hope some solution will be found as Sandboxie is a wonderful piece of software (as is Pegasus Mail). Hello !
I have just tested with version 3.24, and the problemis still there. I think there must an interception at some point once the process winpm-32.exe is launched preventing it from being able to terminate. It is with great sadness that I uninstalled your program as it is a remarkable one. If by any chance to solve this problem, I will be more than happy to use it back again. Cheers ! Whiskyfizz. |

I tested Pegasus Mail 4.51 and Sandboxie 4.43.08 on Windows XP and I don't see any problem with winpm-32.exe. Sorry.

Hi !
I assume you meant version 3.43 of Sandboxie and not 4.43 in your previous post. If you want, I can test it with Pegasus Mail 4.41 on my Windows 2000 machine and tell you what happens. On top of that, you should not be sorry about your program working properly under Windows XP. You really created a nice and clever piece of code, so thank you for that.
