tzuk....version 3.49.13 worked great....i relaunched HF and then upgraded to 3.49.13 and then installed an app in my nu TestSBox sandbox and it installed without a problem.
I created a shortcut using SBIEshortcut and it works great now. Is there a process to copy the Sandbox Settings from one sandbox to another, ie from Default to my nu sandbox - TestSBox ? i initially installed Sandboxie about three years ago and have seen this program evolve into what is no doubt now the best in the business. Your rapid attention to fixing problems that your users experience is remarkable. I have tried Deep Freeze, Clean Slate, (censored), Steady State, Returnil, and a few others and Sandboxie is head and shoulders above all of them. many thanks for your help' Rubygee |

You would have to examine each setting in Sandbox Settings, and then duplicate them manually for the other sandbox. The best you can do now is to first create a new sandbox (if it doesn't exist), and then use Configure > Edit Configuration to manually copy/paste lines. Example: [DefaultBox] ... ... <-- copy the lines that you want, including copying all of them ... [TestSBox] ... ... <-- either paste the lines you want here, or select all of these lines and then paste all lines copied from above .. Using Configure > Edit Configuration means that as soon as you save your results, they will be in effect right away. Control will "Reload Configuration" if done this way. If you were to edit the Sandboxie.ini file directly, by running Notepad and then File > Open, you would need to go to the Control menu and use Configure > Reload Configuration to put your changes into effect. ------------------- You can create a new sandbox just by entering a section for it, if you're careful: [TestBox] and then copy and paste the lines from another sandbox, underneath that section. As soon as your work is saved, you will see the new sandbox listed. Just be sure to use a valid sandbox name if you try this - No spaces in the name, underscore is OK. -------------------- I would usually create the new sandbox first, and then replace all lines with those copied from a different sandbox. |
