I'm using the 64-BIT EDITION OF Sandboxie. Version 3.46
The third party software is UltraMon

When I run any application sandboxed Ultramon doesn't work with it properly. It doesn't add those little boxes to the top right hand corner that you can click on to move the window to another screen automatically.

I'm guessing this is because sandboxing stops ultramon getting in the sandbox and adding them, and that this is what sandboxie is meant to do - block stuff getting in or out.

I understand that this problem is probably an example of Sandboxie working as it is meant to but I just wondered if it there was an easy way round it?

It is a pretty minor problem and I thank you for allowing me to use this excellent software for free so I don't expect anyone to spend much time on this but if there's an easy solution I'd love to know it

Got an solution on this from Ultramon and thought I'd post it here for anyone who'd searched for it and also save anyone spending time on this for me when its sorted:

open settings for the sandbox, then go to Resource Access > Window Access, click on Add, and enter UltraMonWndExtMsg.

Im using UltraMon 3.1.0
64bit Sandboxie 3.72

I tried the compatibility, and it worked briefly then went away when i closed firefox.

I can't find the file UltraMonWndExtMsg , im guessing its only available in the older versions.

In Sandboxie Control's menu:
Configure > Software Compatibility
does it still show [+] Ultramon ?

The Ultramon program that I downloaded still includes "UltraMonWndExtMsg" (as a window class), but Sandboxie checks for the presence of "Ultramon App" and allows access to it.

If you want to try adding access to "UltraMonWndExtMsg" in an individual sandbox setting, to see if it helps:
Sandbox Settings > Resource Access > Window Access
"Add" button: UltraMonWndExtMsg
OK your way out.

Version 3.81.04 updates the compatibility settings for UltraMon to include the UltraMonWndExtMsg window class.
